Abstract:

This data set contains polygons delineating the seam boundaries between acquired imagery used in the creation of the 2009 National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) data for Montana. These seam polygons can be used as a tool in determining the image source and date of each portion of the NAIP imagery. See http://geoinfo.msl.mt.gov/data/Aerial_Photos/NAIP_2009 for access to the imagery.

Purpose:

This index will aid NAIP image users in identifying and delineating source acquistion date boundaries for the NAIP images.

Process step:: The data were provided by USDA as 56 shapefiles, one for each Montana County. The 56 files were appended into a single ESRI geodatabase feature class and the Dissolve process was run on the data to eliminate duplicate polygons.
